What we do with your information.
Short version: we use what you send us to reply to you and to run events properly. Nothing else.
What we collect
We collect the information you choose to give us. That is normally your name, work email address, phone number, organization and the details you enter about a conference, an audience, a sponsorship interest or a general question.
If you attend an experience we produce, we may also collect the practical information needed to run the day safely: dietary requirements, accessibility needs, emergency contact details, relevant medical information, activity experience levels and signed waivers.
Our web host records standard technical information such as IP address and browser type in its server logs. We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics profiling on this site.
How we use it
- To respond to your inquiry and continue the conversation.
- To design, plan, staff and safely operate an event we have agreed to run.
- To communicate with registered attendees about the experience they signed up for.
- To meet legal, insurance and safety obligations.
That is the whole list. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it broadly.
Who we share it with
To run an event we sometimes have to pass specific details to the people delivering it — a venue, a guide or charter operator, a transport provider, a caterer or an insurer. They receive only what they need for their part of the day, and they are expected to use it only for that purpose.
Where an experience is produced with a conference organizer, association or community, we may confirm to that host who registered and who attended, because it is their audience and their event.
We do not give sponsors attendee contact information, lead lists or badge scans. Sponsors receive a summary of the experience and any approved content, not the people in it.
Form submissions
Forms on this site are processed by Netlify, which hosts the site and stores submissions so we can read and respond to them. Submissions are also emailed to the relevant Zero Day Events inbox.
How long we keep it
Inquiries are kept while the conversation is active and for a reasonable period afterwards in case it resumes. Event records, waivers and safety documentation are kept for as long as insurance and legal obligations require, then deleted.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@zeroday.events and we will handle it. If you receive an event communication you no longer want, tell us and we will stop.
Children
This site and our experiences are intended for working professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this notice changes in a way that matters, we will update this page. If you have any question about how your information is handled, please just ask.
